The Company's registered name, Försäkrings AB Bostadsgaranti, translates as the Residential Warranties Insurance Company Ltd. This is the building industry's natural partner in insurance matters. Together with the parent company AB Bostadsgaranti, which started operating in 1962, it embodies security within Swedish construction.

AB Bostadsgaranti - Bostadsgaranti Ltd. - was created in 1962 as the building sector's own warranty company. Since its inception, Bostadsgaranti Ltd. has embodied the concept of security within the Swedish building community. Today, nearly one hundred thousand buyers of new houses or apartments in tenant-owner societies have acquired consumer protection through Bostadsgaranti Ltd.

In 2000 Försäkrings AB Bostadsgaranti - the Residential Warranties Insurance Company Ltd. - was created as a wholly owned subsidiary through which clients now obtain their insurance.

The subsidiary offers insurance covering Completion Warranties, Building Warranty and Building Defects, while the parent company provides warranties covering Deposits and Advance Payments in the context of apartments in tenant-owner societies; services and products can thus be neatly co-ordinated to suit the customer.

Companies building apartments for tenant-owner societies can obtain the insurance policies required by law. They are also certain to have access to genuine expertise in the continually shifting fields of laws and regulations.

Several of the largest producers of dwellings in the country are customers but the insurance and warranty systems are on offer to all serious actors in the field. AB Bostadsgaranti is owned by the Swedish Construction Federation and the Government in equal shares.

The Company participates in the international co-operation within the field, as a member of the Association of European Home Warranty Organisations (AEHWO).
